In the early 1970’s, Bloomfield Historical Society member Al Eicher started a tradition of an Ox Roast as a fundraiser for the Bloomfield Hills Schools. The event grew and in 1976 became the centerpiece for Bloomfield’s celebration of the Nation’s Bicentennial – complete with a marching band and old cars.
